Ascor L NC® is indicated for use in the prevention and treatment of scurvy. MPI's Ascor L NC® consists of a 50mL pharmacy bulk package of sterile, preservative-free, pyrogen-free Ascorbic Acid (non-corn source), USP (500 mg/mL) in a solution containing Edetate Disodium (0.025%), Water for Injection (q.s.) and Sodium Bicarbonate for pH adjustment (pH 5.5 to 7.0).
Ascor L NC® is unique in that the Ascorbic Acid raw material used in production is verified to be prepared from non-corn, natural substrates (e.g. beet or cassava root). Many of our customers have requested a non-corn source to meet their practical needs. To meet those needs, MPI procures only the finest grade materials and ensures that each lot of raw material is certified and analytically tested to verify the material was obtained from a non-corn source. No longer must our customer rely solely on a supplier's certificate of origin. We have the capability to independently verify material origin using sophisticated analysis methods.
